On the occasion of March 8th, the International Women’s Day, DPTU “Buchim” DOOEL Radoviš extends sincere congratulations and gratitude to all women who, through their expertise, dedication, and professionalism, contribute daily to the development and successful operation of the company.
The company currently employs 69 women out of a total of 654 employees, representing approximately 10.6% of the total workforce. In the period between last year’s and this year’s March 8th, six new women were employed, which is a positive indicator of the gradual increase in their representation in the mining sector, an industry where the participation of women has traditionally been lower.
Women are an active part of various segments of operations and are not present only in administrative roles. They are also involved in the technical and operational processes of the mine, as mechanical and chemical engineers, geologists, operators, technicians, laboratory workers, as well as department managers, contributing with their knowledge and professionalism to the functioning of the company.
Their role in management structures is also significant. Out of a total of 59 managerial positions, 11 are held by women (21.15%), while 41 positions are held by men (78.85%). Within the top management, one woman is part of the four-member management team, representing 25% participation.
This structure reflects the gradual dynamic of increased inclusion of women in management processes. The company continuously focuses on creating equal opportunities for professional development, advancement, and participation in leadership roles, regardless of gender. Supporting gender equality and encouraging women to build careers in industries such as mining is an important part of the corporate culture.
On the occasion of the holiday, as a token of appreciation for their contribution, a symbolic celebration of March 8 was organized. Some of the female employees had the opportunity to participate in an organized trip to Istanbul, which enabled socializing and celebrating the holiday in a pleasant atmosphere. For those who were unable to travel, the company provided a symbolic gift for each woman, as an expression of care and gratitude for their daily work and professional engagement.
With this gesture, respect is shown for the role and contribution of women in the company, who, through their knowledge, responsibility, and professionalism, are an important part of its development and success. We extend our congratulations to all women on March 8 – International Women’s Day, with gratitude for their work, knowledge, and inspiration.
