Human Rights as an Integral Part of Responsible Governance at Bucim

July 17, 2026

Bucim has published its revised Human Rights Policy, further strengthening the framework through which the company addresses matters that may affect employees, contractors, business partners and local communities.

In the mining industry, business decisions are closely connected to working conditions, occupational health and safety, labour rights, contractor management and potential impacts on surrounding communities. Respect for human rights is therefore an essential part of responsible operational and social management, as well as of building and maintaining long-term trust with stakeholders.

The Policy establishes clear principles relating to human dignity, equal treatment, non-discrimination, a safe and respectful working environment, and protection from harassment and retaliation. It also sets out the company’s expectations of contractors and business partners and provides accessible channels through which concerns may be raised and reviewed objectively and impartially.

Responsible mining requires clear principles, open engagement with stakeholders and the readiness to respond promptly whenever risks to people may arise. Through the revised Human Rights Policy, we are strengthening the framework that guides our decisions, business relationships and accountability at every level of the organisation,” said Alexander Rakov, General Manager of Bucim.

For Bucim, respect for human rights is an integral part of the company’s corporate governance system. It supports the systematic consideration of potential impacts on people and communities in the planning and implementation of business activities.

The consistent application of the Policy contributes to responsible conduct, clearly defined responsibilities and greater accountability in the company’s relationships with employees, contractors, business partners, local communities and other stakeholders.
